Gunman takes hostages at the Discovery Channel building: Three hostages were released unharmed and the suspect, James J. Lee was shot at approximately 4:50 p.m. EDT by police. He was not killed and is in custody, but his condition is unknown at this time.

Lee, armed with a gun and a bomb entered the building Discovery Communications in Silver Spring on Wednesday afternoon and kidnapped several people, including a security guard, Montgomery County police said.
