Father Guido Sarducci: Former basketball Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Father Guido Sarduccicomedian were on hand to restore Sanity Rally today in Washington DC. The assembly set up by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central was a "non-political" rally in response to other political rallies held in Washington earlier this year.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar, a Muslim known, was on hand as special guest to take part in a skit between Colbert and Stewart. Both (Colbert and Stewart) were discussing how Muslims are not bad people in general.
Jon Stewart, in response to an observation made by Stephen Colbert said, "there are many Muslims who are not bad and you want to."
Then, Kareem Abdul Jabbar began to enter the stage to a thunderous applause and laughter from the crowd.
Father Guido Sarducci actor, and Sam Waterston were also on hand to perform today. Rally restoration Sanity seems to have been a success.
