Transportation officials say the road will be closed intermittently along the route of the race around 7:30 am to noon on Sunday.
The race route starts on Washington Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia, after the bridge Arlington Memorial in Washington DC and ends again in Arlington, Virginia, after crossing the George Mason Memorial Bridge. Hiking in the district includes portions of Virginia Avenue. Rock Creek Parkway and Independence Avenue.
