Gregory Isaacs died


Gregory Isaacs died: Jamaican singer best known for his 1982 track "Night Nurse," died this morning (25.10.10) 59 years after a battle against cancer.

According to reports from the BBC in the Caribbean, Gregory Isaacs - Cool Ruler and nicknamed the Lonely Lover - died at his London home.

Friends said he was initially diagnosed with liver cancer that had spread then. He is survived by wife. Linda, and children.

Gregory Isaacs's career has been prolific, releasing over 50 albums over four decades. His latest album, "Brand New Me" was published in 2008 to very positive feedback.

A few days ago Linda Gregory Isaacs has admitted that her husband was "not good", but declined to comment further.

Singer George Nooks said he recently spoke with Greg, and told the Jamaica Observer newspaper: "I do not know what will happen, but I know God can change things My prayers are with Greg .."
