California Earthquake: Long Beach and surrounding areas of Southern California today, were shocked by small earthquakes.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake a preliminary magnitude 3.8 occurred at a depth of about 13 km beneath the port city on the coast south of Los Angeles.
The Port of Long Beach representative Papa John said he had no signs of damage to the port.
The earthquake occurred the day after an earthquake hit a small sparsely populated area east of San Diego.
The magnitude-4.6 earthquake about nine miles north of Ocotillo, near the border of seismic activity in California and Mexico. There were no reports of damage from the earthquake yesterday.
