Three-time Kentucky Derby winner and Borel Castellano tussled at Churchill Downs a few moments after tangling in the $ 500,000 Breeders' Cup Marathon in an ugly, chaotic scene that left shaken and Borel Castellano pleaded with security guards to let him go so he could "kill" his opponent.
Two runners who usually save their scramble for the racecourse transformed this hallowed ground - a place usually reserved for big smiles and even bigger winner checks - in a fight club on Friday after the opening race of the Breeders' Cup.
The 43-year Borel Castellano expected after the Marathon, angry about a movement halfway up where Castellano and Will I Am Prince accidentally cut horses ridden by Borel and Martin Garcia.
The portion near Garcia sent tumbling to the ground and blunt the momentum of Borel.
An investigation was ordered shortly after the race was over. While Castellano waited to talk to track officials, Borel approached Castellano and thrust his right hand in front of Castellano.

Borel and nearly took off his own personal triple crown in 2009. Mine That Bird won the Derby, Borel then switched to Rachel Alexandra filly to win the Preakness before returning to the mine that Bird in the Belmont Stakes, finishing third.
While the jockeys have been known to wrap on the track during races, the dustup after the race was discordant in a sport known for the capitalist owners, big hats, seersucker suits and smiles teeth into the circle of winners.
