Sonia’s Turkey Travel

Sonia lives is an ex pat from Spain. Recently Sonia traveled to Turkey on a vacation with her hubby. This photo is taken at a road side restaurant on road to Istanbul.

For Sonia this trip was the most memorable of her life. Somewhere filled with adventure, where you can experience new things, take in exotic culture and go home at the end of your holiday feeling relaxed and refreshed. The site and experience of Turkey is exotic.

Turkish Hamaams, whirling Darvish, Turkish Carpets and its famous main bazaar was main attraction a long with Blue Mosque for Sonia.

Shopping remained a major interest for Sonia in Istanbul. Istanbul has numerous historic shopping centers, such as the Grand Bazaar (1461), Mahmutpaşa Bazaar (1462) and the Egyptian Bazaar (1660). The first modern shopping mall was Galleria Ataköy (1987), which was followed by dozens of others in the later decades, such as Akmerkez (1993) which is the only mall to win both “Europe’s Best” and “World’s Best” awards by the ICSC; Metrocity (2003).
Throughout its long history, Istanbul has acquired a reputation for being a cultural and ethnic melting pot. As a result, there are many historical mosques, churches, synagogues, palaces, castles and towers to visit in the city. Some of these historical structures, which draw millions to the city every year, reflect the heart and soul of Istanbul.

By profession Sonia is a teacher and she teaches English in her school back in Spain. Sonia looking for like minded people with similar experiences in their life.
